Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented
Design Manager
to lead and manage the design process across multiple high-end fit-out, construction, and development projects.
The successful candidate will oversee consultants and internal teams, ensuring all designs are delivered to the highest standards, on time, and aligned with client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full design process from concept development through to technical design and project delivery.
- Coordinate architects, interior designers, engineers, MEP consultants, and specialist contractors.
- Review drawings, specifications, BOQs, and technical submissions for quality and accuracy.
- Ensure all designs meet client briefs, commercial requirements, budgets, and timelines.
- Work closely with Construction, Project Management, Procurement, and Commercial teams.
- Monitor consultant deliverables and ensure deadlines are met.
- Identify design clashes, risks, and value engineering opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality, Civil Defence, DDA, Trakhees, and relevant authority regulations.
- Manage material selections, finishes, and design detailing to maintain premium quality standards.
- Attend client meetings and presentations, providing technical and design guidance.
- Support tender documentation, contractor coordination, and site execution where required.
- Stay updated on market trends, materials, and innovative construction methods.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in Design Management within construction, fit-out, or design & build environments.
- Strong experience in luxury residential villas, commercial offices, hospitality, or high-end interiors.
- Knowledge of UAE authority approvals and local building regulations.
- Strong technical understanding of construction detailing and site coordination.
- Excellent project management and organisational skills.
- Strong communication skills with clients, consultants, and contractors.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Suite, and MS Office preferred.
- Fluent in English.
