Hands-on Design Manager assignment providing maternity cover and requiring independent takeover of live projects.
The profile emphasizes continuity of design decisions, programme, and technical coordination.
Candidate requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, or an equivalent recognized qualification.
- Approximately 10–15 years of relevant professional experience; UAE developer-side experience is preferred.
- Strong experience in residential, high-rise, and mixed-use developments.
- Able to manage several active projects and multidisciplinary consultants independently.
- Knowledge of schematic design, design development, tender, and IFC documentation.
- Knowledge of UAE/Dubai authorities, building regulations, and approval processes.
- Technical coordination across architecture, structure, MEP, and specialist disciplines.
- Practical knowledge of BIM/Revit coordination, clash detection, and design QA/QC.
- Experience with consultant management, tender documentation, value engineering, and construction-stage design support.
- Strong communication, reporting, stakeholder-management, and problem-solving skills.
Role expectations
- Take over live projects and manage multiple consultant interfaces.
- Maintain continuity of design decisions, programme, and technical coordination throughout the maternity-cover period.
Handover and start
- Able to join sufficiently ahead of 1 November 2026 to complete an effective handover.
- The assignment is described as temporary; immediate productivity with minimal onboarding is expected.
