• *Job Summary*
• We are hiring a *Design Engineer* with *3-5 years experience* in automobile fabrication for commercial vehicles, trailers, and specialty builds.
• You will handle design, drafting, and detailing of truck bodies, tippers, tankers, and custom modifications as per client requirements and UAE regulations.
• *Key Responsibilities*
• *Design & Drafting*: Create 2D/3D designs and fabrication drawings for vehicle bodies, chassis modifications, and accessories using AutoCAD & SolidWorks
• *Load & Stress Analysis*: Perform basic structural calculations to ensure chassis, frame, and body integrity for payload requirements
• *Material Selection*: Specify MS, SS, Aluminum grades, thicknesses, and welding details for fabrication as per GCC standards
• *Compliance*: Ensure designs meet RTA, ESMA, and GCC vehicle modification regulations. Prepare drawings for authority approval
• *BOQ & Costing*: Generate material take-offs, BOQs, and support estimation team for project costing
• *Workshop Coordination*: Coordinate with fabrication, welding, and assembly teams. Resolve design issues during production
• *Client Interaction*: Understand client briefs, propose design concepts, and incorporate feedback before final approval
• *Documentation*: Maintain drawing revisions, project files, and as-built documentation for completed vehicles

*Required Skills & Qualifications*

• *Education*: B.E/B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering
• *Experience*: 3-5 years in automobile body design/fabrication. *Must have worked on trucks, trailers, or special purpose vehicles*
• *Software*: Strong in AutoCAD, SolidWorks. CATIA/Inventor is a plus
• *Technical*: Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, welding symbols, GD&T, and vehicle chassis systems
• *Standards*: Familiar with RTA, ESMA, and Gulf vehicle modification norms
• *Skills*: Detail-oriented, problem-solving, vendor coordination, and site visits to workshops
• *Other*: UAE driving license preferred. Candidates in Dubai or willing to relocate immediately
