Our client, a leading Mechanical Contractor specialising in commercial, hospitality, and residential projects, is currently seeking an experienced
Mechanical Design Engineer
to join their growing team in the United Kingdom.
Successful candidates will be employed and sponsored directly by our UK partner company under the Skilled Worker visa program.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare mechanical design drawings and technical documentation
- Develop 2D and 3D models using CAD software
- Design mechanical components, systems, and fabrication layouts
- Interpret project specifications and engineering requirements
- Coordinate with production, fabrication, and project teams
- Ensure designs comply with quality, safety, and industry standards
- Support manufacturing and installation processes when required

Practical Skills & Experience (ESSENTIAL)
- Suggesting value engineering possibilities to optimise costs and efficiency
- Performing design checks, including calculations for heat losses/gains, pipe sizes, duct sizes, pumps, fans, etc.
- Continuously suggesting value engineering possibilities to enhance project efficiency and cost-effectiveness
- Updating layouts, schematics, and other design elements as required
- Assisting Revit/CAD technicians with coordination issues to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems
- Supporting Contracts Managers with resolving design-related issues during the construction phase
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or Architectural Engineering is desirable
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in building services design from either consultancy or contractor background
- Strong MEP Revit/CAD experience
- Ability to read and prepare engineering drawings and specifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Reliable and self-motivated individual
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Willingness to relocate to the UK
- Must meet UK Skilled Worker visa requirements
