Overview
As a Design Coordinator, you will be responsible for facilitating communication and coordination within the technical design department and between other departments involved in fit-out projects.
Your role
involves ensuring efficient workflows, tracking project progress, and supporting the design team in meeting project objectives and deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate design activities and workflows within the design department to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
- Serve as a liaison between the technical design team, project managers, site supervisors, and other stakeholders to facilitate communication and collaboration.
- Track project progress and milestones, updating project schedules and timelines as needed.
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and schedules.
- Organize and maintain files and records related to design projects, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
- Coordinate meetings and design reviews, preparing agendas, minutes, and action items as necessary.
- Support the technical design team in resolving technical issues, clarifying design requirements, and addressing project challenges.
- Assist in the procurement process by obtaining quotes, preparing purchase orders, and tracking deliveries for design materials and equipment.
- Provide administrative support to the design team, including organizing meetings, managing calendars, and preparing correspondence.
- Stay updated on project requirements, design standards, and industry trends to ensure compliance and quality in design deliverables.
