Project controls leadership

• Lead project-wide change management across change identification, assessment, governance, approval, implementation, and reporting.
• Provide strategic leadership and day-to-day management, mentoring, coaching, technical guidance, and performance oversight to project controls staff.
• Direct cost engineering, estimating, cost analysis and control, planning and scheduling, risk management, and reporting.
• Direct cost trends, estimates, forecasts, schedule development and maintenance, impact identification, and recovery planning.
• Ensure project cost and schedule functions follow procedures and good practice.

Coordination and reporting

• Coordinate change-impact evaluations with Cost, Planning, Risk, Commercial, Contracts, Procurement, Engineering, and Construction teams.
• Lead planning, scheduling, trending, cost control, risk, and reporting teams to meet customer requirements within budget and schedule.
• Prepare executive reports, dashboards, and presentations on change status, trends, forecast impacts, and management actions.
• Provide accurate analysis and reporting to the Project Controls Director and support project and corporate management.
• Support commercial operations and prime contract administration; interface with customers and present to client personnel.
• Coordinate reporting oversight and consistent procedures with the Project Controls functional department.

Education and experience

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree, or international equivalent, and 20 years of relevant experience.
• Prior Middle East work experience is preferred.

Required knowledge and skills

• Working knowledge of project control tools and cost databases; proficiency with PC systems and several basic software applications.
• Knowledge of financial reporting systems, controller account codes, and applicable controller instructions and reports.
• Knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup work processes.
• Proficiency with existing data sources and Excel; project outputs are expected in Power BI.
• Knowledge of supervision, personnel administration, and training of technical and non-technical personnel.
• Thorough understanding of prime contract formation and execution.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; ability to present analysis to senior management.
• Ability to work overtime and adapt to changing work schedules.
