Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for dental work and assist with dental procedures.
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments, set up trays, and prepare materials to support infection control.
- Assist dentists with medical and dental emergencies and assist hygienists with procedures when needed.
- Provide patient care, record treatment information, and collect medical and dental histories and vital signs.
- Take dental X-rays and care for X-ray equipment.
- Educate patients about dental hygiene, oral health care, and plaque control; provide post-operative instructions as directed.
- Maintain equipment and inventory, order supplies, form preliminary impressions and occlusal registrations, and fabricate temporary restorations and custom impressions.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of dental-assisting experience is required.
- Dental X-ray certification is required.
- Certification or an associate degree in an accredited dental-assisting program is listed as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a Dental Hygiene Program are listed as requirements.
- Computer experience, good written and verbal communication, a professional attitude, and the ability to provide good patient care are required.
- A DOH license is not required.
Pay
- AED 2,500–4,000 per month.
Work arrangement
- In-person work in a dental clinic.
