The dental assistant prepares patients and equipment, assists the dentist, and may support clinic administration as directed.
Responsibilities
- Greet and escort patients to the dental clinic and assist the dentist with treatment and chairside procedures.
- Prepare dental materials, trays, and instruments for fillings and other procedures; stock the clinic and oversee equipment maintenance.
- Teach patients proper brushing and flossing techniques.
- Maintain a sterile, organized workplace and follow infection control procedures.
- Review health histories, make chart entries, and ensure forms are completed.
- As directed, answer calls, manage insurance approvals, order supplies, and schedule future appointments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing and a valid UAE license to practice; the description references DOH, DHA, or MOH.
- At least five years of experience in a dental healthcare setting.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills, with a focus on continued professional development.
