Day Surgery Center Manager

Job Summary

Operations Management

• Oversee daily operations of the Day Surgery Center
• Ensure efficient coordination between surgical, nursing, and administrative departments
• Optimize patient flow, scheduling, and service delivery

Staff Leadership & Management

• Lead, supervise, and support clinical and non-clinical teams
• Manage recruitment, onboarding, and training of staff
• Conduct performance evaluations and staff development plans
• Ensure adherence to clinical and operational standards

Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance

• Ensure full compliance with UAE healthcare regulations and licensing requirements
• Maintain readiness for inspections and audits by health authorities
• Implement and monitor policies related to patient safety, infection control, and quality standards
• Ensure compliance with accreditation standards (where applicable)

Patient Care & Service Quality

• Ensure high-quality and safe patient care standards
• Monitor patient satisfaction and service performance
• Handle patient complaints and ensure timely resolution

Financial & Administrative Management

• Assist in budgeting, cost control, and operational planning
• Oversee insurance processes, billing coordination, and revenue cycle support
• Monitor operational efficiency and resource utilization

Coordination & Reporting

• Liaise with surgeons, physicians, and external healthcare providers
• Maintain communication with regulatory authorities and insurance companies
• Report operational performance to senior management

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in:
• Healthcare Administration
• Nursing
• Medicine (preferred)
• Business Administration (with healthcare experience)

Certifications (Mandatory / Preferred)

• Basic Life Support (BLS) –

Required

• First Aid Certification –

• Quality & Patient Safety Certification (Preferred)

• CPHQ (Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality) – Advantage

Experience

• Minimum
• 5–8 years of experience
• in healthcare management
• Experience in:
• Hospitals
• Clinics
• Day Surgery Centers (strong advantage)
• Proven experience in:
• Operations management
• Staff supervision
• Patient care coordination
• Regulatory compliance

• Ability to work under pressure in a clinical environment
• Knowledge of healthcare systems and patient safety standards
• Familiarity with UAE healthcare regulations (DHA / MOHAP / DOH)

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Healthcare Management or related field
• Experience in surgical or specialty healthcare centers
• Experience with healthcare accreditation standards (e.g., JCI)
• Knowledge of insurance and medical billing systems
