Datacenter Supervisor

Overview

Operations Management

• Supervise 24x7 data center operations.
• Ensure uptime and availability of critical infrastructure.
• Monitor electrical, mechanical, and environmental systems.
• Review operational logs, alarms, and event reports.
• Coordinate shift activities and handovers.
• Review, Update documents

Critical Facilities Management

• Manage UPS, generators, PDU, ATS, CRAC/CRAH, chillers, and cooling systems.
• Maintain MDFs, IDFs, and FECs, i
• Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance activities are completed.
• Perform infrastructure health checks and capacity reviews.
• Support commissioning and testing activities for new installations.
• Inventory control and asset tagging , Labelling

Incident & Problem Management

• Lead incident response and escalation management.
• Participate in Major Incident Management (MIM).
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Implement corrective and preventive actions.

Change Management

• Review and approve infrastructure changes.
• Ensure compliance with Change Management processes.
• Conduct risk assessments for planned maintenance activities.

Team Leadership

• Supervise Data Center Operators and Engineers.
• Manage shift schedules and resource allocation.
• Conduct performance reviews and training.
• Develop team competency and certification plans.

Vendor Management

• Coordinate with OEMs, facility vendors, and service providers.
• Manage and maintain the contracts
• Review vendor performance against SLAs.
• Supervise maintenance contractors during on-site activities.

Compliance & Governance

• Ensure compliance with ISO 27001, ISO 20000, and organizational policies.
• Maintain audit records and operational documentation.
• Enforce safety procedures and permit-to-work processes.
• Ensure physical security controls are followed.

Capacity & Availability Management

• Monitor power, cooling, rack space, and network utilization.
• Forecast capacity requirements.
• Support infrastructure expansion planning.

Continuous Service Improvement (CSI)

• Identify service gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Drive operational efficiency.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Track MTTD, MTTR, SLA compliance, and trend analysis.

Team Leadership

• Lead cross-functional technical teams including multiple vendors
• Conduct performance reviews and mentoring.
• Ensure resource planning and skill development.
• Drive operational excellence culture.
• Build training plans
