Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Datacenter Engineer (On‑site Operations) based in Dubai. The

Datacenter Engineer will manage the physical and environmental integrity of a high‑density

AI datacenter.

You will oversee power distribution, cooling (liquid + air), rack management, asset tracking, and vendor coordination. This role is critical to maintaining 99% availability across 256+ GPU nodes.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain CDU (coolant distribution units) , PDUs, rack power (A/B feed), and thermal efficiency.
• Perform quarterly preventive maintenance: dust cleaning, cable grooming, airflow optimization.
• Coordinate with facilities teams for temperature, humidity, and aisle containment.
• Manage spare parts inventory, RMA logistics, and courier coordination.
• Support physical security: badge access, visitor escort, CCTV compliance.
• Execute cable certification (OLTS/OTDR), polarity validation, and recabling.
• Maintain rack elevations, serial number records, and CMDB updates.
• Respond to environmental alarms and power/cooling failures.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years as a Datacenter Engineer or Facilities Engineer in a critical environment.
• Hands‑on experience with liquid cooling solutions (CDUs, quick disconnects, leak detection).
• Knowledge of power capacity planning (kW/rack), three‑phase power, and redundancy.
• Familiarity with GPU servers (HGX), InfiniBand cabling, and fibre management.
• Ability to read and follow site rules, safety procedures, and change control.
• Physical capability to lift equipment and work in raised floor/rack environments.

Preferred

• Certifications: CDCP, Schneider Electric, or similar.
• Experience with RMA processes (Supermicro, Nvidia).
