Datacenter Engineer

Hiring: Data Centre Engineer

Contract:** 1 Year (Extendable)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform hardware installation, replacement, and troubleshooting (e.g., motherboards, servers, and related components)
• Execute rack and stack deployments, including equipment mounting and setup
• Handle structured cabling and patching
• Support data centre operations, including upgrades, maintenance, and incident resolution
• Ensure accurate labelling, documentation, and asset tracking
• Follow change management processes and standard operating procedures
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for deployments and issue resolution

Required Skills & Experience

• 6+ years of overall experience with 3+ years hands on in large scale Data centre environment
• Strong knowledge of:
• o Server hardware (motherboards, storage, networking components)
• o Rack & stack procedures
• o Cabling (patching, routing, and cable management)
• Familiarity with data centre standards, environments, and operational protocols
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues efficiently
• Experience working in high-security or enterprise data centres
• Basic understanding of networking concepts
• Willingness to work in shift-based and on-call support environments

Additional Mandatory Requirements

• **Hands-on experience in hardware replacement, storage replacement, and new server patching**
• **Experience in cabling, rack fixing, and structured deployments**
• **Awareness of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)**
• **Understanding of large-scale data centers (rack-level awareness required)**
