Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of database systems supporting critical business operations.
Ensure database environments provide high availability, performance, scalability, and security.
Key responsibilities
- Manage database performance, integrity, and security.
- Implement backups, recovery procedures, and disaster recovery plans.
- Design database structures and optimize existing databases.
- Collaborate with application teams on integration and business requirements.
- Enforce security policies and compliance with SAMA and AML/CTF requirements.
- Conduct audits and vulnerability assessments.
- Monitor performance, tune databases, and resolve bottlenecks.
- Lead and mentor database administrators and developers.
- Coordinate with IT operations, application teams, and business stakeholders.
Job requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- Five to eight years of database management experience, including three years in management or leadership.
- Experience managing large-scale database environments.
- Strong knowledge of relational and non-relational databases.
- Experience with tuning, backup and recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
- Familiarity with cloud database solutions such as AWS RDS or Azure SQL.
- Strong knowledge of database security, access control, and compliance.
- Advanced database certifications are a plus.

- The role is based in Jeddah and identified as onsite.
