Role Overview

We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Database Administrator to work on a contractor basis.

This individual will apply their expertise to help train next-generation AI systems by analyzing and optimizing database performance for large-scale MySQL and PostgreSQL environments.

With a focus on real-world input, the successful candidate will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality data.

This role is a key part of the emerging AI ecosystem, where domain knowledge is what matters most.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and optimize database performance for large-scale MySQL and PostgreSQL environments to ensure high-quality data and efficient model training.
  • Partner with the development team to design, implement, and maintain robust database structures that meet evolving business needs.
  • Develop, test, and manage data backup and recovery procedures to safeguard business-critical information and ensure operational continuity.
  • Monitor database environments to proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, ensuring seamless model training and deployment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align database solutions with business objectives and drive strategic growth.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience with database performance optimization, with a focus on MySQL and PostgreSQL.
  • Strong understanding of database design, implementation, and maintenance, with the ability to adapt to evolving business needs.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex database performance issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with experience working with cross-functional teams to drive strategic growth.
  • Ability to document database configurations, processes, and best practices to ensure operational transparency and continuity.
