About This Role
Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, optimize, and secure databases supporting the Madinaty SuperApp ecosystem.
The role ensures high availability, performance, and reliability of critical data systems.
1. **Database Management & Operations**
- Install, configure, and maintain database systems (PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, etc.)
- Ensure high availability, performance tuning, and scalability
- Monitor database health and proactively resolve issues
- 2. **Performance Optimization**
- Analyze and optimize queries, indexing strategies, and execution plans
- Conduct performance tuning and capacity planning
- Implement best practices for database efficiency
3. **Backup, Recovery & Security**
- Implement backup and disaster recovery strategies
- Ensure data integrity and availability
- Manage database security, access controls, and encryption
4. **Collaboration & Support**
- Support application teams with database design and integration
- Work with data engineers on data pipelines and ETL processes
- Document database architecture and operational procedures
Required Qualifications & Skills
- ***Technical Skills:***
- Strong experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server)
- Expertise in SQL, query optimization, and indexing
- Experience in backup/recovery and high availability setups
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments
- Understanding of cloud databases (Alibaba Cloud, etc.)
- ***Soft Skills:***
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage critical incidents
- Good communication and documentation skills
- Proactive and detail-oriented mindset
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with distributed systems and big data platforms
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis, etc.)
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and automation tools
- Experience in Smart City or large-scale digital platforms
