Role overview
Technical specialist responsible for developing and improving data quality solutions across Microsoft Fabric and Experian Aperture Data Studio.
Works with the Data Quality and Improvement team, Data Engineers and other technical specialists.
Responsibilities
- Build controlled, traceable data flows and processes to profile, validate, cleanse and improve data.
- Develop data quality pipelines, transformations, models and integration processes, and configure the data quality platform.
- Automate monitoring where possible and support it with controls, logging, documentation and exception handling.
- Investigate technical data quality issues and monitor process performance, reliability and completeness.
- Ensure solutions meet data governance, information security, data protection, architecture and change-control requirements.
Candidate requirements
- Strong practical Microsoft Fabric experience, including data engineering workloads, Lakehouse or Warehouse structures, notebooks, pipelines and medallion architecture.
- Strong SQL experience and at least one relevant programming language, such as Python, PostgreSQL, PySpark or Java.
- Experience with cloud ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration; understanding of data quality processes and tools.
- Understanding of database design, modelling, metadata, lineage, version control, testing and deployment.
- Relevant Microsoft data technologies may include Azure services, Azure Data Factory, SQL Server, Power BI and data lakes.
Workplace
- Role is based at the Farringdon office, with hybrid working where appropriate and as agreed with the manager.
