Data Engineer - Al Ain-based

Role overview

Accountabilities

• Consolidate and manage enterprise data; develop scalable data models and automated reports for operational, financial, and strategic decisions.
• Protect business-critical data integrity, accuracy, security, and availability for reliable management reporting and regulatory compliance.
• Build KPI dashboards, real-time monitoring, and advanced analytics to improve operational efficiency, service delivery, and performance.
• Implement RPA, AI-agent, workflow automation, and low-code opportunities with business stakeholders; redesign processes and reduce manual work.
• Identify process inefficiencies, conduct root cause analysis, and implement improvements that deliver productivity, cost, and service-quality gains.
• Maintain BI dashboards and reports covering operational performance, process efficiency, workload trends, and strategic decisions.
• Support AI solutions, agents, and knowledge repositories that automate transactions, guide processes, validate data, and enable informed decisions.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• Four to five years of experience in Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Automation, or Digital Transformation.
• Experience in airline, aviation, finance operations, shared services, or large enterprise environments is preferred.
• Certifications in Data Analytics, Power BI, Azure Data Engineering, AI, Automation, or related disciplines are desirable.

Technical skills

• SQL and database management; Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent visualization platforms.
• Python, SQL, Power Query, or related data engineering tools; ETL/ELT processes and data warehouse concepts.
• Knowledge of Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, or other cloud data platforms.
• Familiarity with RPA tools such as Power Automate, UiPath, or Automation Anywhere.
• Basic understanding of AI, machine learning, generative AI, and AI agent frameworks.
