Data Center HVAC Service Technician Apprentice (Union)

What we look for

• Must be a member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, AFL-CIO.
• 1+ years of industry experience or experience in servicing mechanical systems in the HVAC industry.
• Generally required knowledge includes mechanical HVAC systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, peripheral equipment installation and servicing techniques
• Effective interpersonal skills to properly represent Johnson Controls to customers and other outside contacts in an ethical and professional manner.
• Leadership skills to support the activities of Mechanics working on non-complex, non-critical mechanical HVAC equipment on a job site
• Self-starter with ability to eventually work independently.
• Prioritize safety in all forms.
• This position requires a valid driver’s license.
• Preferred
• 1-2 years of trade school or college in a technical emphasis.
• This is a Bargaining Unit Position.
• Pay Range: Hourly rate determined by the CBA/rate sheet. Benefits are provided through a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement.
• This is a Bargaining Unit Position but is subject to all pre-hiring screening of JCI. With successful performance, JCI may recommend you to the Union Local apprenticeship program, as well as continued employment at JCI. Acceptance by Union Local must occur within 365 days of employment or will result in termination of this position. This is not a guaranty of employment or entering the Union. The Union has its own entry, qualification & screening programs.
