Key responsibilities
- Develop electrical concepts and designs for data centers and mission-critical facilities.
- Design and select critical power systems including UPS, generators, transformers, switchgear, ATS/STS, PDUs, busways, distribution boards, and batteries.
- Perform electrical calculations, capacity assessments, equipment sizing, and short-circuit studies.
- Develop single-line diagrams, layouts, power distribution diagrams, equipment schedules, and specifications.
- Review tender documents, client requirements, drawings, and electrical scopes.
- Prepare BOQs, technical proposals, compliance statements, equipment selections, and cost estimates.
- Coordinate with OEMs and suppliers on technical proposals and commercial quotations.
- Develop N, N+1, 2N, and distributed redundant electrical configurations.
- Review protection, coordination, earthing, lightning protection, and power quality requirements.
- Participate in client and consultant meetings and provide technical presentations.
- Support commercial teams with clarifications, value engineering, and proposal preparation.
- Support testing, commissioning, and technical clarification during project execution when required.
Preferred experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in data centers or mission-critical facilities.
- Strong knowledge of critical power systems, including UPS, generators, MV/LV systems, switchgear, and power distribution.
- Experience in pre-sales, tendering, estimation, and technical proposal preparation.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Revit/BIM and electrical design software experience is advantageous.
- Knowledge of Uptime Institute, TIA-942, IEC, and NFPA standards is advantageous.
