Lead design, implementation, and governance of enterprise data platforms across on-premises and cloud environments.

Education and experience

Architecture and platforms

  • Define enterprise data architecture standards and roadmaps; design scalable platforms for reporting, analytics, BI, and AI.
  • Develop enterprise data models and govern architecture.
  • Lead EDW, Data Lake, and Lakehouse initiatives; define integration, modeling, and analytics strategies.
  • Design dimensional models, semantic layers, and reporting architectures.
  • Design hybrid cloud/on-premises architectures and migration strategies from legacy platforms.
  • Architect ingestion, integration, and real-time analytics solutions.

Governance and leadership

  • Establish governance and stewardship frameworks for classification, metadata, retention, lineage, quality, and sensitive-data controls.
  • Support a single source of truth through data quality and master data management.
  • Translate business and technology needs into architecture; lead reviews, workshops, and governance forums.
  • Provide architectural leadership to delivery teams and mentor data engineers, analysts, and junior architects.

Required expertise

  • Enterprise-scale data warehouse, Data Lake, and Lakehouse design; enterprise data architecture, data modeling, and governance.
  • Azure and hybrid data platforms, including Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Lake, Synapse Analytics, and Azure SQL.
  • Data integration, ETL/ELT, CDC, and SQL platforms such as SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
  • Enterprise reporting, analytics, BI, metadata management, and data quality frameworks.

Preferred expertise

  • Data cataloging, lineage, MDM, retention, lifecycle management, streaming, and real-time analytics.
  • API-led integration, privacy and protection controls, and sovereign cloud or data residency.
  • Government, telecom, transportation, banking, or large-enterprise programs; AI/ML, Generative AI, and Data Mesh.
