Position Summary

Location and Engagement

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
• At least 10 years of experience in data architecture, data governance, data warehousing, or enterprise data management.

Responsibilities

• Define enterprise data architecture standards, principles, policies, and target-state roadmaps; govern data architecture and management frameworks.
• Establish data governance operating models, stewardship processes, governance controls, and architecture governance.
• Develop conceptual, logical, and physical models and lead data warehouse, data lake, and lakehouse architecture.
• Establish data quality frameworks and data classification standards; implement metadata management and data lineage.
• Define retention, lifecycle management, and regulatory compliance policies.
• Translate business requirements into sustainable solutions and partner with stakeholders, data stewards, and owners to improve data management maturity.
• Design scalable cloud and hybrid platforms for reporting, analytics, and AI; lead architecture reviews, forums, and workshops.
• Mentor data engineering, analytics, and delivery teams.

Required Expertise

• Enterprise data architecture and enterprise data management frameworks; data governance and stewardship.
• Data quality, data classification, metadata management, data lineage, and architecture governance.
• Enterprise data warehouse, data lake, and lakehouse programmes; cloud and hybrid platforms using Azure data services.
• Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Lake, Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL, and related Azure technologies.
• Data integration, ETL/ELT, Change Data Capture, and SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
• Enterprise reporting, analytics, business intelligence, stakeholder engagement, and data transformation or modernization.

Preferred Expertise

• Master Data Management, data retention and lifecycle frameworks, streaming and real-time analytics, and API-led integration.
• PII protection, encryption, access controls, data masking, tokenization, or experience in large government or industry data programmes.
• AI/ML or generative AI enablement, Data Mesh or domain-oriented architecture, and familiarity with sovereign cloud, data residency, or regulatory compliance.
