Join KierBAM’s Commercial team as a Data Modelling Analyst supporting the 10-Dock project at Devonport Royal Dockyard in Plymouth.
Help create efficient, accurate cost and staff data streams that support project delivery within budget, quality and schedule requirements.
Location and schedule
- Based at Plymouth’s Devonport Royal Dockyard, with a minimum of three days per week on site.
- The stated working week is 42.5 hours.
Responsibilities
- Manipulate and improve data from multiple sources using Excel, Power Query/Power BI, Python or SQL.
- Reduce manual work for staff-cost reports with commercial assistants.
- Improve application-for-payment processes with the Cost Manager.
- Cover white- and blue-collar cost reporting for commercial assistants.
- Collaborate with Commercial, Procurement, Finance and external parties.
Requirements
- Advanced Power BI and Power Query or equivalent data-modelling abilities, including work with multiple Excel and unstructured datasets.
- Strong Excel skills, including INDEX/MATCH, XLOOKUP, nested IFs, TEXTBEFORE/AFTER and VSTACK.
- Highly developed numerical, analytical and critical-thinking skills.
- Collaborative, detail-oriented approach with ownership, curiosity, active listening and willingness to contribute ideas.
- Degree or equivalent in data science, programming, finance or quantity surveying.
- GCSEs including Maths, English and IT or a technical subject at grade 5 or above.
