What you'll be doing
- Understand business problems, processes, and reporting needs with stakeholders; communicate insights and actionable strategies through reports, presentations, and discussions.
- Improve data collection, reporting processes, and operational workflows; own projects through completion while managing multiple priorities.
- Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports using data models, DAX, Power Query, and paginated reports.
- Investigate data-quality and reporting issues, find root causes, and implement solutions.
- Identify manual processes to automate with scripting and low-code tools.
- Test, troubleshoot, and support reporting and automated solutions after deployment.
- Build and maintain ETL/ELT processes for data integration, preparation, reporting, analysis, validation, and transformation.
Must haves
- At least 3 years of hands-on data analytics, business intelligence, or similar experience.
- Strong SQL and Power BI experience, including DAX, Power Query, Report Builder, data modeling, and dashboard development.
- Business analysis ability to translate business processes and user needs into technical solutions.
- Experience gathering requirements from business stakeholders and presenting findings.
- Ability to work independently, adapt to changing priorities, and own projects from requirements to delivery.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to offer innovative solutions.
Nice-to-haves
- Four-year post-secondary degree, preferably in business, science, or a related field.
- Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines; Azure or other cloud data platforms; data warehousing and dimensional or relational modeling.
- Python experience for data processing, analysis, or automation.
- Microsoft Power Platform experience, such as Power Automate or Power Apps.
- Git or Azure DevOps experience for version control and development processes.
