Role Description
The Cyber Security Manager is a full-time hybrid role based in Dubai, with flexibility for some work from home.
This role is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the organization’s cybersecurity strategy across infrastructure, applications, and networks.
Day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing security operations, monitoring systems for threats, coordinating vulnerability assessments and remediation, and managing incident response activities.
The Cyber Security Manager will collaborate with IT, engineering, and business stakeholders to define security requirements, implement best practices, and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and industry standards.
The role also involves managing security tools and vendors, mentoring team members, conducting security training and awareness sessions, and providing clear reporting and recommendations to leadership.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Cybersecurity and Information Security, including security governance, risk management, and compliance practices.
- Hands-on experience with Network Security, such as firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, segmentation, and secure network architectures.
- Proficiency in Application Security, including secure SDLC practices, code review collaboration, and the use of application security tools.
- Demonstrated experience in Vulnerability Assessment, including scanning, prioritization, remediation planning, and follow-up.
- Proven experience managing security operations or security programs in complex or regulated environments, ideally within managed services or enterprise settings.
- Familiarity with common security frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls) and relevant regional regulatory requirements.
- Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, influence stakeholders, and communicate security risks and solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with cloud security (e.g., Azure, AWS, or other major cloud providers), identity and access management, and endpoint protection platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are advantageous
