Overview
We are seeking a skilled **Cyber Security Specialist** to safeguard our organizations digital infrastructure.
In this role, you will be responsible for protecting sensitive data, mitigating cyber threats, and ensuring compliance with security best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- **Threat Detection & Response:**
- Monitor network traffic and systems for security breaches or intrusions.
- Respond promptly to security incidents and mitigate potential threats.
- **System Security Management:**
- Implement and maintain firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and antivirus tools.
- Perform regular security audits to identify vulnerabilities.
- **Compliance & Policy Development:**
- Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST).
- **Risk Assessment & Mitigation:**
- Conduct risk assessments to identify security gaps.
- Design and implement strategies to mitigate risks and protect critical assets.
- **Employee Training & Awareness:**
- Educate employees on cyber security practices and phishing awareness.
- Develop and conduct training sessions for internal teams.
- **System Upgrades & Patching:**
- Regularly update software, systems, and hardware to address vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with IT teams to secure system configurations.
- **Incident Documentation & Reporting:**
- Maintain detailed records of security incidents and remediation efforts.
- Prepare reports for management on security status and improvement plans.
