Role and work arrangement

Responsibilities

• Manage import/export customs operations, including declarations, clearance, document preparation, and shipment tracking.
• Check customs documents for accuracy, compliance, and consistency; maintain templates and SOPs as needed.
• Classify products using HS Codes and support customs valuation and duty assessment.
• Coordinate with customs authorities, freight forwarders, brokers, logistics providers, and internal stakeholders to resolve shipment issues.
• Track shipments through final release and manage inspections, document amendments, duty payments, and information requests.
• Maintain customs records and ensure compliance with UAE customs, free zone requirements, and company policies.
• Use ERP and logistics platforms for transactions, shipment records, and operational reports.
• Support improvements to clearance efficiency, compliance, and operational performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in International Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• At least 3–5 years of relevant import/export, customs clearance, or freight-forwarding experience.
• UAE customs and free zone experience is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of trade regulations, customs procedures, Incoterms, HS Code classification, customs valuation, and trade documentation.
• ERP, WMS, customs clearance, or logistics system experience is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills; able to manage multiple shipments and deadlines.
• Good written and spoken English and Chinese.
