Novomed Centers seeks a skilled, detail-oriented CSSD Technician for its Central Sterile Services Department in Dubai, UAE.
The role handles cleaning, disinfection, inspection, assembly, sterilization, and storage of medical instruments and equipment.
Core duties
- Clean, decontaminate, inspect, assemble, package, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment.
- Operate and monitor autoclaves and other sterilizers; conduct routine monitoring and maintain documentation and traceability.
- Follow infection prevention and control policies, CSSD protocols, and patient safety standards.
- Store, handle, and distribute sterile supplies; monitor indicators and report failures or equipment malfunctions.
- Maintain department cleanliness, organization, and safety; follow quality assurance procedures and applicable healthcare regulations.
Qualifications and requirements
- Diploma or relevant qualification in CSSD, sterile processing, or a related healthcare field.
- Knowledge of sterilization methods, decontamination procedures, and infection control practices.
- Familiarity with sterilization equipment, biological and chemical indicators, and documentation procedures.
- DHA license or eligibility for DHA is required.
- Previous hospital or healthcare facility experience is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and organizational skills.
Workplace and employment
- Full-time role in Dubai, UAE; work location is in person.
