CS Data Science and Analytics Engineer

Role overview

What you'll do

• Lead data science, machine learning and AI projects aligned with business priorities.
• Build models and predictive insights using SQL, Python, DAX and other tools.
• Understand customer needs and operational data.
• Collaborate with analysts, data engineers and stakeholders to build feature stores and deliver analysis.
• Coach peers and stakeholders in data science techniques and tools.
• Present insights using Power BI and support continuous improvement.
• Plan, design and deliver data, visualisation and insight to enable business transformation.

Skills and qualifications

• Significant experience in data science, analytics and engineering practices is essential.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, DAX, R and statistical modelling is essential.
• Experience with Agile frameworks and customer contact environments.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Translate business goals into technical requirements and actionable insights.
• Experience with DataOps, MLOps and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Interpret data to deliver factual business commentary to customers.
• Demonstrate strategic thinking, emotional intelligence, collaboration and thoughtful leadership.

Location and working arrangement

• Based at Bupa Place, Salford Quays.
• Hybrid working options are available, with two days per week in the office.

Contract and salary

• Permanent, full-time role at 37.5 hours per week.
• Salary starts from £50,000, depending on experience.
