Coordinate timely deployment of qualified crew members, crew assignments and changes, and compliance with industry regulations and company policies for offshore marine services.
Crew training and compliance
- Monitor seafarer training plans and track STCW training requirements and validity so courses do not expire during employment contracts.
- Track crew documents and ensure compliance with company HSE policies; open training matrices for new staff and ensure ISM-required training is completed on time.
- Check local and client training requirements for new and returning crew with the Training Coordinator.
- Book required courses for the first working day after arrival and provide each joining crew member with a training schedule.
- Ensure staff joining ships complete required training before embarking.
Coordination and administration
- Review and verify agency mobilization invoices before payment approval; prepare and monitor offshore staff budgets.
- Arrange transport to training and visa medicals; apply for travel cards and security passes when applicable.
- Provide relevant data for client interview bookings and schedule client inductions on time.
- Maintain a detailed master list and daily status report covering training completed, underway, and planned, with dates.
- Coordinate additional training around crew availability and port calls to avoid delaying sailing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a relevant field.
- At least two years of marine-industry experience.
- Sound interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate information simply and effectively.
- Ability to work independently and maintain acceptable, punctual attendance and work-time behavior.
