Credit Analyst – SME Lending & Operations
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Credit Analyst – SME Lending & Operations to support end-to-end SME financing processes within a dynamic fintech environment. This role combines credit underwriting responsibilities with operational execution, ensuring efficient loan processing, accurate risk assessment, and seamless disbursement and servicing of SME loans in line with internal policies.
Key Responsibilities - Credit Analysis & Underwriting
- Review and assess SME loan applications
- Perform detailed credit analysis and underwriting
- Analyze financial statements, bank statements, and cash flows
- Evaluate creditworthiness, risk levels, and repayment capacity
- Approve or decline loan applications within assigned authority
- Prepare credit notes and maintain proper credit documentation
- Ensure compliance with internal credit policies and risk guidelines
Loan Operations & Processing
- Process approved SME loan disbursals
- Manage loan documentation, verification, and onboarding
- Maintain accurate loan records and operational data
- Monitor loan processing workflows to ensure timely execution
- Handle post-disbursement activities and loan servicing support
- Assist in operational reporting and portfolio tracking
Coordination & Compliance
- Coordinate with credit, sales, and finance teams for smooth loan processing
- Ensure adherence to internal operational procedures and policies
- Support audits and compliance checks related to SME lending operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related field
- 2–5 years of experience in SME lending, credit analysis, or loan operations
- Strong knowledge of financial statement analysis and credit underwriting
- Familiarity with loan processing, documentation, and disbursement procedures
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial/operational systems
