CP - Electrical Engineer | Transmission Line | UAE

Job summary

Key responsibilities

• Supervise transmission line construction, installation, erection, testing, and related site activities.
• Ensure compliance with approved drawings, method statements, specifications, UAE regulations, client standards, HSE requirements, and project procedures.
• Inspect work sites, identify hazards and risks, and verify permits, risk assessments, job safety requirements, and method statements.
• Monitor lifting, excavation, tower erection, stringing, conductor installation, and work near energized systems or utilities.
• Coordinate with Construction, Engineering, QA/QC, HSE, and client teams to resolve technical and site issues.
• Verify personnel, tools, equipment, and work methods; conduct toolbox talks and provide site guidance.
• Report incidents, near misses, unsafe acts or conditions, and non-conformities; support corrective actions and maintain records.
• Stop or suspend unsafe work and ensure corrective measures are implemented; liaise with clients and consultants.

Mandatory requirements

• BE, BTech, or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in transmission line projects.
• Valid ADNOC or TAQA Competent Person approval is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of transmission line construction, HSE requirements, permits, risk assessments, and safe working practices.
• Good communication and coordination skills and ability to work with contractors, consultants, and client representatives.
• UAE or GCC project experience is preferred.
