About the role

Courier duties

• Wear the required uniform while on duty and promptly deliver and pick up shipments.
• Meet Right Day Delivery and Right Shuttle Uplift targets, including avoiding missed pickups and meeting special delivery or pickup expectations.
• Record shipment processing activities with a scanner or manually when required; properly report and account for customer cash.
• Develop and maintain professional customer rapport, and communicate changing customer needs to dispatch or customer service.
• Support teamwork, shuttle procedures, and base performance; use initiative and judgment to meet customer expectations.
• Share potential sales leads and feedback on shipment profiles or competitors with the sales team.
• Keep the vehicle clean and drive carefully, safely, lawfully, and courteously in line with traffic regulations.
• Follow occupational health and safety policies and training, use provided manual-handling aids, and report incidents or damage promptly.

Candidate profile

• Fluent English is required; Arabic knowledge is an advantage.
• A clean, valid UAE manual driver's licence and more than one year of driving experience are required.
• Must be physically able to move, lift, carry, load, and unload objects regularly.
• Needs good knowledge of local areas and ability to work in varied weather and outdoor conditions.
• Requires organizational and prioritization skills, customer-service experience, communication, initiative, judgment, and attention to detail.
• Must know safe manual handling and occupational health and safety practices, work effectively under pressure, and follow operational procedures.
• Excellent personal presentation, grooming, and hygiene are expected.
