Role overview

Work arrangement

• Full-time hybrid role based at Array's Scarborough facility.
• Typical schedule is three days onsite and two days working from home.

Key responsibilities

• Review project briefs, designs, renderings, engineering drawings, bills of materials, and production specifications.
• Estimate materials, manufacturing processes, labour, timing, and other project costs.
• Compare production approaches and identify practical, cost-effective alternatives.
• Prepare detailed estimates and financial documents using Excel and Array estimating tools.
• Explain assumptions, labour and timing considerations, and pricing to Commercial partners.
• Coordinate multiple estimates and priorities with lead estimators and other teams.
• Learn Array processes and collaborate with Commercial, Design, Engineering, and manufacturing partners.

Experience and capabilities

• Experience in cost estimating in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Ability to assess materials, labour, manufacturing processes, quantities, and other cost inputs.
• Strong Excel capability for manipulating, analyzing, validating, and presenting costing information.
• Clear communication, analytical thinking, adaptability, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Custom manufacturing experience is particularly valuable; direct retail display experience is an asset.

Relevant manufacturing experience

• Relevant processes may include plastics fabrication, assembly, cutting, CNC, laser, injection moulding, metal fabrication, or wood fabrication.

Compensation

• Salary range is CAD $62,000–$72,000 annually.
