About This Role
Role Context
We are seeking an experienced **Cost Engineer** to support **cost control, monitoring, and reporting** activities on **PIF-funded mega and giga projects** in Riyadh.
The role requires strong expertise in **project cost management, financial reporting, and governance**, ensuring full alignment with **PIF standards and reporting requirements**.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain **project cost control systems** in line with PIF governance frameworks
- Monitor project budgets, commitments, actuals, and forecasts
- Prepare **monthly cost reports**, cash flow forecasts, and cost performance dashboards for PIF
- Track variations, change orders, and potential cost risks
- Perform cost variance analysis and identify trends and corrective actions
- Coordinate with planning, contracts, procurement, and commercial teams
- Support **value engineering and cost optimization initiatives**
- Ensure accuracy, transparency, and audit readiness of all cost data
- Contribute to executive-level reporting and management reviews
Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Finance, or Cost Management
- **8–15 years of experience** in cost engineering or cost control roles
- Proven experience on **mega or giga infrastructure projects**
- Direct exposure to **PIF reporting, governance, or client-side requirements** is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of project financial controls and commercial processes
- Ability to work in complex, high-governance environments
Required Skills
- Strong expertise in **cost control, budgeting, and forecasting**
- Advanced proficiency in **MS Excel** and cost reporting tools
- Experience with project controls systems (ERP, cost management software)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and reporting accuracy
- Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills
- Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage
