Role overview
Supports cost control, budget monitoring, invoice reconciliation, and financial reporting during a scheduled plant turnaround.
Provides real-time cost visibility and bridges field execution with corporate accounting during planning and execution.
Responsibilities
- Reconcile invoices against field-verified data to prepare the final expenditure report.
- Analyze and explain budget variances, including overruns or underruns.
- Capture benchmarking data to improve the accuracy of future turnaround cycles.
Required skills and experience
- At least 5 years of cost control or financial experience.
- Google Suite application skills and mastery of Excel PivotTables.
- Associate degree or 5 years of experience.
- Must be organized and structured.
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with occasional requested overtime averaging 2 hours.
Location and employment
- Contract position in Pasadena, Texas, supporting a plant turnaround.
Compensation
- Pay rate is $30–$35 per hour, depending on experience, skills, and market factors.
