- Supports financial planning, cost control, and affordability analysis for complex mission-critical IT and engineering programs.
- Develops and maintains cost estimates, budgets, forecasts, and scenario models
- Tracks actual performance against approved baselines
- Analyzes variances, trends, and cost drivers to identify risks and opportunities.
- Prepares and evaluates Earned Value Management metrics, including CPI and SPI, and translates findings into clear, actionable recommendations for program leadership.
- Working closely with program management, engineering, logistics, contracts, and finance teams, the Cost Analyst assesses repair-versus-replacement decisions, resource needs, contract modifications, and other program tradeoffs.
- Supports recurring financial reporting, validates data integrity, documents assumptions, and communicates cost impacts to stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field
- At least five years of relevant experience
- Must have and maintain an active DoD TS/SCI clearance
- Strong Excel and quantitative-analysis skills
