Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice on domestic and cross-border corporate tax and emerging international tax principles.
- Conduct Permanent Establishment (PE) and Place of Effective Management (POEM) assessments.
- Advise on DTAA implications, withholding tax obligations, and Foreign Tax Credit (FTC) optimization.
- Manage client relationships, provide technical updates, and support account management.
- Review and challenge work prepared by AMs and Analysts, including tax returns, compliance documents, and opinions, fostering their technical growth.
- Review client and pitch documents, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
- Prepare proposals/ engagement letters for Directors.
- Ensure timely completion of general correspondence, filings, and mandatory compliance training.
- Support team in complex projects, demonstrating critical thinking and sound decision-making.
Qualifications & Experience
- CA or equivalent professional qualification.
- 3–5 years of corporate tax advisory experience, preferably from Big 4.
- Strong technical knowledge of corporate and international tax concepts.
- Proven ability to manage client engagements, maintain relationships, and deliver under deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong analytical, decision-making, and critical thinking abilities.
- Leadership experience in mentoring junior staff and developing high-quality deliverables.
- High professional ethics, adaptability, self-motivation, and ability to work independently or in dynamic teams.
