- Objectives of this role:
- Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a high-volume workload often requiring short turnaround times
- Raise the bar continually for writing fresh Arabic 1st copy that connects with the desired audience and drives action
- Be adept at varying the voice, style, and other characteristics of messaging based on communication channels and different audiences.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of communication
- Stay current on Deliveroo's appropriate style guidelines and brand voice for consistent messaging.
Responsibilities
- Interpret creative briefs to develop concepts (Arabic 1st)
- Work with the brand and marketing team to develop Arabic 1st copy and captions for campaigns
- Work with the marketing team to develop Arabic 1st copy for CRM and other owned channels
- Translating content from English to Arabic and vice versa \~ main skillset strength is Arabic copywriting
- Research and understand customer needs and target audiences in the UAE and Kuwait \~ Ability to write up copy in Arabic that suits the dialect for UAE & Kuwait market (it will entail Local Arabic Khaliji that is relevant for UAE & for Kuwait (different dialect than UAE) \~ not only white formal Arabic
- Write original Arabic 1st copy and edit content for a range of marketing and communications materials
- Present Arabic copy concepts and final deliverables to the team
- Revise Arabic copy based on feedback
- Required skills and qualifications:
- 2-3 years of professional Arabic copywriting experience, with a solid portfolio of work
- Exceptional writing and research skills
- Ability to work independently or with a team to meet deadlines
- Excellent organisational skills and multitasking ability
- Preferred skills and qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in journalism, Arabic, (incl.English), communications, or literature
- Proofreading experience and familiarity with standard style guides
- Experience with content management systems
- A keen eye for detail and appreciation of great design
