Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and experienced **Chef** specializing in **North Indian cuisine** with the ability to prepare **Continental and diet-focused meals**.

The ideal candidate should have a passion for cooking, excellent knowledge of food safety and hygiene, and the ability to manage kitchen operations efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare a wide variety of authentic North Indian vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes using traditional cooking methods.
  • Cook Continental dishes and healthy diet meals according to nutritional requirements.
  • Plan daily and weekly menus based on seasonal ingredients, dietary needs, and customer preferences.
  • Ensure timely preparation and attractive presentation of all meals.
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of the kitchen, utensils, equipment, and storage areas.
  • Monitor food quality, taste, portion control, and consistency.
  • Manage kitchen inventory, monitor stock levels, and coordinate purchasing of ingredients.
  • Follow all food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.
  • Coordinate with kitchen assistants to ensure smooth food preparation and service.
  • Train and guide kitchen assistants on food preparation, hygiene, and safety procedures.
  • Minimize food wastage and maintain cost-effective kitchen operations.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum **High School/Diploma**; a **Diploma or Certificate in Culinary Arts, Professional Cookery, or Hospitality** is preferred.
  • **3–5 years of proven experience** as a Chef specializing in North Indian cuisine.
  • Experience in preparing **Continental cuisine** and **diet/healthy meals**.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian spices, cooking techniques, and food presentation.
  • Good understanding of food safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage kitchen inventory and control food costs.
  • Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and overtime when required.

Preferred Skills

  • Expertise in preparing traditional North Indian breads, curries, tandoori dishes, biryanis, and kebabs.
  • Knowledge of Continental breakfast, soups, salads, grilled dishes, pasta, and healthy meal preparation.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt to new recipes and cooking styles.
