Contract & Commercial Engineer – Power Plants

Overview

• We’re Hiring: Contract & Commercial Engineer – Power Plants (Centralized Support Function)
• We are looking for an experienced Contract & Commercial Engineer to join a centralized department supporting multiple power plants across the central area.
• This role is ideal for a commercially driven engineering professional with strong contract management expertise and a solid understanding of plant operations and maintenance activities.
• 🔹 Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and submit service and purchase requisitions (PR) through ERP systems such as SAP Ariba, ensuring alignment with approved budgets and accurate scope definition.
• Lead and support tendering activities, including RFP preparation, commercial terms, evaluation criteria, and coordination with technical and contracts teams.
• Develop scopes of work, contractual conditions, and service schedules for maintenance, repair, outage, and project-related contracts.
• Manage bid processes, including bidder clarifications, commercial evaluations, price comparisons, and award recommendations.
• Support contract negotiations to achieve commercially balanced and risk-managed outcomes.
• Handle contract administration activities such as variations, change orders, extensions, claims, and dispute coordination.
• Monitor contract financial performance, including invoicing, cost tracking, and budget alignment.
• Define and monitor supplier performance through KPIs and SLAs.
• Ensure compliance with internal contracting procedures, governance frameworks, and company policies.
• Act as a key interface between commercial, technical, and operational teams across multiple power plants.
• 🔹 Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mandatory)
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in contracts, procurement, or commercial functions within power, utilities, or industrial sectors
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP Ariba
• Strong knowledge of KPI and SLA management
• Excellent commercial, contractual, and stakeholder management skills
• Technical understanding of plant maintenance and operational environments is highly preferred
