Role overview
Performs ongoing monitoring of HR and Workplace Services vendors for an assigned area under Northern Trust's Third Party Risk Management program.
Works within program guidelines and policies, solving straightforward problems and applying technical experience and judgment.
Responsibilities
- Consult with vendor managers on program requirements, templates, and documents; coordinate guidance with Procurement, Risk, IT, and other teams.
- Track required documentation, conduct periodic training, and perform quality-control and audit reviews.
- Assist with regional escalations and monitor resolution; report program status, issues, and risks to management and internal groups.
- Provide informal guidance to new team members.
Knowledge and experience
- Strong organizational, project management, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills; adaptability in a high-demand environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and data analytics tools including Power BI.
- A degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Risk Management, or another appropriate major is preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Three to five years of third-party management, procurement operations, or risk management experience is cited as equivalent background; HR or Shared Services vendor experience in financial services is preferred.
