About This Role
SearchPlus HR is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Consultant Surgical Oncologist to join the private sector healthcare facilities within our network. This opportunity is ideal for a surgeon committed to providing exceptional cancer care using advanced surgical techniques in a private healthcare environment.
As a Consultant Surgical Oncologist in the private sector, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and surgically treating patients with various cancers. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs, while ensuring the highest standards of care and patient satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:* Conduct detailed evaluations and surgical assessments of oncology patients
- Perform complex surgical procedures aimed at cancer treatment and tumor removal
- Collaborate with oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, and other specialists to formulate integrated treatment plans
- Manage pre-operative and post-operative care, ensuring optimal patient recovery
- Maintain thorough and accurate medical records, adhering to private sector protocols and compliance
- Engage in patient education regarding diagnosis, surgical procedures, risks, and post-operative care
- Participate in continuous professional development and stay current with advancements in surgical oncology
Requirements
- Medical degree with specialization and board certification in Surgical Oncology
- Proven experience performing oncological surgical procedures in a private healthcare setting
- Strong understanding of cancer biology, treatment modalities, and surgical techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to manage complex surgical cases and deliver high-quality patient care
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and documentation abilities
- Commitment to ongoing education and adherence to private sector healthcare standards
