About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced

Consultant Pediatric Endocrinologist

to join a leading healthcare organization in Saudi Arabia.

The successful candidate will provide specialized care for infants, children, and adolescents with endocrine and metabolic disorders, delivering evidence-based treatment while working within a multidisciplinary pediatric team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and manage a wide range of pediatric endocrine disorders, including diabetes mellitus, growth disorders, thyroid diseases, adrenal disorders, pituitary disorders, obesity, and metabolic bone diseases.
  • Conduct comprehensive endocrine evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Manage children and adolescents with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, including insulin therapy and continuous glucose monitoring systems.
  • Provide specialized care for disorders of puberty, growth hormone deficiencies, and congenital endocrine conditions.
  • Interpret laboratory investigations, imaging studies, and endocrine function tests.
  • Collaborate with pediatricians, geneticists, dietitians, psychologists, and other specialists to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Educate patients and families regarding disease management, treatment adherence, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary clinics and case discussions.
  • Supervise and mentor junior physicians, residents, fellows, and allied healthcare professionals.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, research, and continuing medical education activities.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
  • Board Certification in Pediatrics.
  • Fellowship or Subspecialty Certification in Pediatric Endocrinology.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing as a Consultant Pediatric Endocrinologist.
  • Extensive experience in managing pediatric diabetes and complex endocrine disorders.
  • Strong clinical judgment and evidence-based practice approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Eligibility for licensure with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Western Board Certification (UK CCT, American Board, Canadian Fellowship, Australian Fellowship, or equivalent).
  • Experience working in tertiary-care children's hospitals or academic medical centers.
  • Research, teaching, or publication experience in Pediatric Endocrinology.
  • Experience with insulin pump therapy and advanced diabetes technologies.
