Job Summary
The Consultant Otolaryngologist is responsible for providing specialized medical care in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders related to the ear, nose, throat, head, and neck.
The role involves offering both outpatient and inpatient care, performing surgical procedures, supervising junior medical staff, and ensuring compliance with the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DOH) standards and hospital policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of ENT conditions including infections, allergies, hearing loss, balance disorders, voice issues, and head and neck tumors.
- Perform ENT surgical procedures such as tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy, septoplasty, endoscopic sinus surgery, tympanoplasty, and others.
- Conduct audiological and vestibular evaluations in collaboration with audiologists.
- Provide comprehensive care for both pediatric and adult patients.
- Review and interpret diagnostic imaging and laboratory results.
- Manage emergency ENT cases and provide on-call coverage as required.
- Lead multidisciplinary discussions and collaborate with other specialties for integrated patient care.
- Supervise, train, and mentor residents, interns, and nursing staff in ENT-related procedures and protocols.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in accordance with DOH and hospital policies.
- Participate in continuous professional development (CPD) and quality improvement programs.
Qualifications & Experience
- **Education:** MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
- **Specialization:** Completion of recognized specialty training in Otolaryngology
- **Experience:** Minimum of 5–8 years post-specialization experience in a recognized healthcare facility.
- **Language:** Proficiency in English.

Working Conditions
- Full-time.
- May involve weekend or on-call duties as per hospital requirements.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED75,000.00 - AED85,000.00 per month
