Overview

  • SearchPlus HR is seeking a dedicated and experienced Consultant Neurologist to join a prominent public sector healthcare institution.
  • This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality neurological care within the public healthcare system.
  • As a Consultant Neurologist in the public sector, you will be responsible for diagnosing, managing, and treating patients with a wide range of neurological disorders, while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Responsibilities:* Perform comprehensive neurological assessments and examinations
  • Order and interpret diagnostic investigations such as MRI, CT scans, EEGs, and lumbar punctures
  • Develop and implement evidence-based management plans for acute and chronic neurological conditions
  • Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care
  • Supervise and mentor junior medical staff and contribute to medical education programs
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and comply with public healthcare regulations
  • Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and research activities
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements and guidelines in neurology

Requirements

  • Medical degree with full registration and license to practice
  • Completion of a neurology residency and Board Certification in Neurology
  • Experience working in a public healthcare setting is preferred
  • Demonstrated expertise in diagnosing and managing neurological disorders
  • Proficient in interpreting neuroimaging and electrophysiological studies
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills suitable for a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care
  • Ability to supervise and mentor junior staff
  • Familiarity with public healthcare policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Engagement with clinical research and continuous professional development
