Consultant Gastroenterologist
About This Role
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations to diagnose complex gastrointestinal disorders using advanced endoscopic techniques and imaging.
- Develop personalized treatment plans, including pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions, ensuring alignment with the latest clinical guidelines.
- Perform advanced procedures such as endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) and endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) to manage and treat conditions effectively.
- Engage in multidisciplinary team discussions to optimize patient outcomes and foster a collaborative approach to complex cases.
- Educate patients and their families about gastrointestinal health, conditions, and treatment options, empowering them to make informed decisions.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards in healthcare.
- Supervise and mentor junior doctors, ensuring they develop essential skills and adhere to high standards of patient care.
- Implement quality improvement initiatives within the department to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
