Role overview

Clinical and surgical duties

• Diagnose and manage ear, nose, throat, and head and neck conditions.
• Perform tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy, septoplasty, and functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS).
• Manage sinusitis, nasal obstruction, hearing disorders, vertigo, and voice-related conditions.
• Evaluate and treat head and neck masses, salivary gland disorders, and upper airway conditions.
• Conduct and interpret nasal endoscopy, laryngoscopy, audiological assessments, and diagnostic imaging.
• Manage chronic ear infections and other otological disorders using surgical or nonsurgical care.
• Assess patients before surgery and provide postoperative care.
• Manage emergencies including epistaxis, airway obstruction, and foreign-body emergencies.
• Collaborate with audiologists, speech therapists, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary surgical teams.
• Supervise and mentor junior physicians and other healthcare professionals.
• Follow DHA regulations, surgical safety protocols, infection control, and patient care standards.

Required qualifications

• MBBS/MD or equivalent recognized medical degree.
• Recognized postgraduate qualification in Otolaryngology / ENT Surgery.
• Board certification or equivalent recognized consultant-level qualification.
• Eligible for DHA Consultant Otolaryngology classification/license in Dubai, subject to applicable UAE PQR requirements.
• Strong expertise in advanced ENT surgery, endoscopic sinus procedures, otology, and head and neck disorders.
• Excellent surgical skills, communication abilities, and clinical decision-making.

Preferred qualifications and experience

• Minimum 5–10 years of relevant post-specialization experience is preferred.
• American Board, UK CCT, Canadian, Australian, European, or other internationally recognized qualifications are highly desirable.
