Consultant Breast Radiologist

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Perform and interpret mammography, breast ultrasound, and breast MRI.
• Conduct screening and diagnostic mammography for early detection of abnormalities.
• Perform image-guided breast biopsies, aspirations, and localization procedures.
• Evaluate lesions using BI-RADS and provide consultation on complex breast imaging cases.
• Collaborate with breast surgeons, oncologists, pathologists, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in screening, early detection, prevention programs, breast cancer meetings, audits, and quality improvement.
• Maintain diagnostic reports and patient records; follow DHA regulations, clinical protocols, and imaging standards.
• Stay current with breast imaging technology and evidence-based diagnostic practices.

Qualifications and requirements

• MBBS or equivalent recognized medical qualification.
• Recognized postgraduate Diagnostic Radiology qualification, such as MD, FRCR, CCT, American Board, or equivalent.
• Fellowship or advanced subspecialty training in Breast Imaging or Breast Radiology preferred.
• Valid DHA license or eligibility letter preferred.
• Relevant post-specialization experience meeting UAE PQR requirements for Consultant classification.
• Strong expertise in mammography, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, and interventional breast procedures.
• Excellent diagnostic accuracy, communication, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
