  • We are currently inviting applications for the position of Consultant Cardiac Surgeon to serve at a prestigious Government Hospital.

  • As a Consultant Cardiac Surgeon working in a Government Hospital, you will be responsible for performing advanced cardiac surgeries, providing high-quality care to patients, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to improve surgical outcomes and patient services.
  • Key Responsibilities:* Assess and manage patients with cardiac diseases requiring surgical intervention in the public healthcare system.
  • Conduct a wide range of cardiac surgical procedures including coronary artery bypass grafting, valve repair/replacement, and other complex heart surgeries.
  • Collaborate with cardiologists, anesthesiologists, nursing staff, and other medical professionals to ensure integrated patient care.
  • Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient care and counseling.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough medical records in compliance with government health regulations.
  • Participate in training and mentoring junior staff and medical trainees within the hospital.
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to hospital policies and protocols.

Requirements

  • Qualifications and Experience:* Proven expertise in performing complex cardiac surgical procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of government healthcare policies, patient management, and surgical best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment and handle multiple cases.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and adherence to ethical standards.
  • Experience in teaching or mentoring junior medical staff is an advantage.
