Provide anesthesia care to patients undergoing cardiac surgeries and interventions, supporting safety and comfort throughout the perioperative period.
Join a multidisciplinary cardiac care team.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive preoperative evaluations and develop individualized anesthetic plans for cardiac patients.
- Administer anesthesia for cardiac surgeries, including complex and high-risk procedures.
- Monitor hemodynamic status and vital signs using transesophageal echocardiography and invasive monitoring techniques.
- Collaborate with cardiac surgeons, perfusionists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Manage intraoperative challenges and anesthesia-related complications promptly.
- Provide post-anesthesia care, pain management, and recovery monitoring.
- Keep current with advances in cardiac anesthesiology and participate in continuing education.
Candidate requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution and accredited anesthesiology residency.
- Valid medical license to practice anesthesia.
- At least 3 years of cardiac anesthesia experience.
- Proficiency with invasive monitoring and cardiac anesthesia techniques.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to perform under pressure in complex clinical scenarios.
- Cardiac anesthesia fellowship training is preferred.
